UMPIRES WANTED FOR SACD TOURNAMENT

The annual South African Country Districts Mens Hockey tournament is being held in Cape Town this year and the tournament is looking for umpires to officiate at the tournament.

Details are as follows:

Venue:   Bishops, Rondebosch

Dates:   9 – 15 July 2016 (both days inclusive).

There are no games on the 9^th but there will be an umpire's meeting later in the day.

Umpire managers:  Jimmy Mendoza and Pat Ferraris

Minimum requirement:   18 years of age and a current grading of  Level One with a recommendation to advance.

Due to the lack of availability of courts to play our normal indoor league we are very excited to be able to host this league/tournament in the midseason break. 

This tournament will be the first round of selection for the WP Indoor teams that will participate at the Indoor IPT in October in Cape Town.

Please note that team entries must be based on where your teams last played in the indoor league in 2015.

We can also only accommodate 1 team per club per league.

Congratulations to the WP Pens Men & Ladies teams for both winning gold at IPT in Johannesburg last week.  Both teams won their respective B-section finals and thus gain promotion to the A-Section in 2017.  

Well done to all the players and team management on an outstanding week of hockey.
